As the nights grow longer and the weather becomes chill, it is a stark reminder that the night of ghosts and ghoulies is upon us. Tomorrow will be the start of November, which will swiftly bring the end to the Super Spooktacular celebrations in Free Realms.

According to SOE's official news post, Super Spooktacular is scheduled to end on November 11, 2009. It is stated that at that time, all of the Halloween specific items and costumes will be removed from the Marketplace. Now is the time to act if you've still been waiting to purchase something special! The limited edition Werewolf Outfit is also still available, until the limit is met or time runs out, to those who are interested.

We at ZAM wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween, and may your bags of candy be filled to the brim!

Yesterday evening was the Halloween Dance Party, hosted by the SOE Community Team. The party ended up with a terrific turn-out, with a confirmed attendance of over 500 people. Freepers from all servers hopped over to server 1 and crammed shoulder-to-shoulder near the new Bone Bog Cemetery, dancing along to boom boxes and socializing with the Referees and the Community Team.

ZAM has set up a gallery of some of the people and moments we captured last night at the dance party. To view the gallery, click on the picture on the right. We also have two videos, which you can see after the hop.

Today's update on Free Realms brought us more Super Spooktacular costumes in the Station Cash Marketplace. Now you can choose from an even wider variety of outfits with new looks such as the Mummy, the Vampire Countess, or the Monster.

Also added to the Marketplace was the Creepy Crawly Diamond Shard, which gives your wieldable the effect of spiders crawling and dropping from it. If that's a bit too spooky for your tastes, you can try out the new Jack-O-Lantern, a pumpkin that allows you and your friends to grab miniature pumpkins to throw at one another.

The Super Spooktacular is a great celebration that allows us to flaunt our favorite styles on Free Realms. Everyone has their own unique look that can fit in with any crowd. To further the celebrations, this evening there is a dance party! For more information on the party, as well as Daddio's Free Realms homage to Thriller, follow us through the hop.

The world of Twitter has been abuzz the past two days with word of the highly anticipated Soccer update coming this month to Free Realms. SOE has now graced us with several screenshots of the gameplay, as well as confirming that the name of the new job will be Soccer Star.

Similar to ZAM's Fan Faire coverage, SOE has released news that the new minigame will have power ups, a focus on group effort, and new soccer fields scattered across Sacred Grove. Places such as Snowhill, Shrouded Glade and Briarwood will give a heightened atmosphere as you sprint your way down the field.
