i used to have a level 33 monk on marrs fist he was a decent DD but I think he could have been better. Any ideas on how to make a monk a really good DD/dueler?

is it better to make ur ownarmor form craftig or getting rares an auction which one is better fro a dueling monk?

defintly hand to hand cause ur spells can do massive dmg on enemies and if u play ur cards right u can kill a red enemy using ur spells

Okay, i got a 59 Ninja on FH. My bases are 220str 210sta 250dex 100agi.....please dont mess up and go offensive its a low proc last about 1min...defense will help you way more. Str=mod combos dex=mod punches....i also have 0/700 cms (nothin special)

since im not 60 yet maybe a lvl 60 monk can answer this question. when you talk to the monks at the endless tower in eternal desert (C) they talk about tests to seek enlightenment. are there lvl 60 monk quests given by these guys or would one presume that this may be the place for the lvl 60 "epic" they are never going to release?

A little story first.
I was in Moradhim with my monk. (I have a low level player in Moradhim. When I played that player, Frost eyes were open targets.) So when my monk, started running down the road in search of that Level 17 robe and as we started down the valley there were 8 or 9 of them…. Newbie’s are as new-b Do and I was thinking… Wow! Goody points with the fine people of Moradhim. So I popped one… Mmmm Big mistake. All the guilds in town are pissed at me. ( -98 factions each) and the as new-B dose part, I didn’t believe what I saw so I smacked another one and another -98 each guild. After all there were 6 or 7 more to pick from.

Now my questions.
1st. Is there anything I can do about this? Can I kill rats or something to make it up to them?
2nd. Is there a list of don’t do’s for each zone?
3rd. Is this a Class or a Race problem?

I saw a level 60 necromancer get next to the spiritbinder Fellspar in Moradhim. As he reached the spirit binder, the guard took an aggressive posture about this pile of spinning bones that the necromancer owned. He killed the bones then the necromancer. Right away the spiritbinder did his job and restored the dude, right in front of the guard.
Although it was fun to watch the 5 tries it took hem to get out of the loop, I realized this town is important to me, so if I cant fix this roblem and some other factors. I might start my monk over.

I would like to hear any though on this. After all he is only a level 18 and now is a good tine to start over not level 20.

man you are ;like 49 or so I think is when I got that option for a cm. You seriously can't figuire out wether or not it is worth it... think about what yu really need bro.

no dont get it. any buff that last 2 seconds with a 5 hour recast is pointless...

oh and you guys asking about templates here is what to do.

first raise your dex
second raise your dex
third keep raiseing your dex

at low levels you are only good for groups. you get all caught up on soloeing for xp you going to ruin your character by putting training points into worthless crap like agility.

at level 58 i have
250 strength
240 stamina
300 dex
base

what you have to look at when you start going up in levels is what do you want to use for armor. it's everything you build to your armor. rallosian studs is a monks best friend...

so look at level 60 when you hit around level 50 and see what stats you're going to need the most work in.

dex is #1
str is #2
sta is #3

agil is USELESS absolutely pointless on a monk. Just because you are melee it doesn't mean you need agility. you need to cause damage and cause it fast so xp flies by. I got 100 base agility and i wish i never spent a single point on it. I guess it's suppossed to modify your crits. let the tank do his job and use your points into stamina to help on crits and when you steal aggro not agility.

so get rallosian studs till level 44 and then pick up some brimfire and get a taste of good ac and hp for a monk. at 48 pick up some more rallosian studs. Don't get that sensei crap at 50 it's junk. Around 55 mix andmatch your armor/jewelery to maximize your AR and HP also try keeping your dex-str-sta as high as possible. and at level 60 get whistling winds armor just dont get the boots they r junk.

remember you should only be raiseing dex strength and stamina in that order...

Do monks get quad hit?If so what level and how do you get it?

I know its a little late to think about this, but what are good stats to build on? My agil, str, dex, and sta are in low hundreds. My int, char, and wis are in 70's.

and for what its worth my ac is around 350 i think

Hi my stats are now, 120 str, 115 sta, 90 agi
140 dex. Thats what i think is best for lvl 33, but did wisdom is very useful for monks? Where should i put my attack skills on 1st belt? or on 2nd belt? or it makes no difference?, sorry for all theise questions, lolll it because i very like my monk and i dont wanna scrap him like i did with my warrior.

In regards to the path choices, Offensive is completely useless. All it gives is +80 str/dex at 49 with a 180ish hp DoT. However, 600 second recast + 30 Duration. Honestly, if you are using this at 60 for the stat buffs, you've wasted your character and should be deleted. At a high enough level your strength and dex should be maxed without using weapons. Also, do not put points into agility, intelligence or charisma. They do NOTHING. Ignore the resists from Wisdom. I've experimented with that idea by tailoring a 48 full Wisdom suit. Therefore, I had 400 wisdom. The resists were, only +10 to each. That is pathetic, don't even bother. Charisma does not affect self-heals. They are not modified by charisma at all. Trust me, I've tried that also. Wisdom, is good if you want to go Sensei. Wisdom affects heals for Sensei I believe. Stamina directly modifies any of the combo spells. Dex modifies the punches and minimum damage. Strength modifies any quick casting kicks. Stamina is your secondary power pool. Also, dexterity is your primary power pool. The main focus you should go is Dex,Str, then Sta. Do not put any points into agility whatsoever. Even if you are building to solo, Don't waste TPS. If you are wanting to solo, then be sure to take the Defensive path, which imo is more useful.

As far as my stats are concerned, I screwed up myself by putting points into agility which I regret completely now. But the stats i have now without Ninja MC are 490 dex 449 sta 435 str. Also, 4500 hps fully buffed. Not saying that is great, but it is something to build off of. Imo, don't waste your character trying to build him to be good in duels. The best dueler can often make the sh*tiest damage dealer. Also, the good thing about monks is you dont need different gear for dueling at higher levels. All you need is to change the abilities around a little.
