with my 32 mage i sent my pet to slap gertrude around a little and then hit retreat and ran my ass off. just b4 i zoned the big bear she got a hit in and im thinking it did like 540 damage. not sure if shes a caster cuz she never cast ne thing on me..just hit me dam hard once. laters
the bear i believe u call it gertruse is ronbrow's wife, (a dwarf u talk 2 for 25 quest(hes so @#$%^&*! if hes married 2 a bear (wich he is))) they changed her from a lvl 25 or so npc (not sure, cant member ir was white or dblu 2 me at 25, i believe was white when i killed) now shes a 45 caster. and xpp at the gnoll cave. day gots spiders dare. GL
Their is a pretty good gnoll cave near the bear cave almos due east of qeynos coach. gnollstrong fangs and what not its a pretty descent place for a lv 25 - 30 grp to xp.Its very near one of the lv 23 quest guy someone ironbeard hes on a farm hes part of the lv 23 wyndhaven quest.The cave is south of the farm in a hill that surrounds the south side of the farm. hope this helps
Gertrude is a lvl 45 caster now, i fought him when they changed him with a 50 warrior, the casts brought the self buffed 50 warrior down to half life, do not mess with him hes very tough.
Gertrude was red to a lv 41 mage after the change. Still melee, doesn't appear to cast.
great spot to pet group now in the high lvs. do to the fact she is still an insta spawner and everyone worries about repairs at that high lv. She does not apper to be droping any loot. (cept gems of course)
Gertrude is higher than lvl 26-27 i went over and cast a spell on her jes for the heck of it and she used quad attack on me. so does anyone know wut lvl she is?

I cannot seem to ever find any Healer wands. If you got on for sale send me an in game tell. If you just need help send an in game tell(ur LVL does not matter I will help). I am so far a LVL 31 CL. Don't die out there and much praise to you Tanks (ty)

True this is a great spot for xp.But here is a point for you to ponder.You are beating up youre armor without making any cash to repair it so is it smart?Think about that when you get youre repair bill,lol...Best of luck!

Ole Gertie can be found inside a cave in the E/SE region of the Bear Cave Zone. She is around level 26-27. Good news is that she is neutral until she is attacked, which gives you time to regroup. Bad news is, she doesn't drop any loot. Happy Hunting.
Actually, she is in the Southwest part of the Bear Cave Zone, the cave not too far from the rat tomb in neighboring Hagley zone. And your post saying its "E/SE" just made me waste an hour of my life.
this place is the most amazing xp when you are the only group there. All you need is a healer and you are all set. The bear respawns in about 3 seconds if that.
