I have heard there is a new level 50 qst in this area is this true or am i mistaken. Supposedly this qst gives tanks a pet called howler, melees a proc for throwing knives, and hlrs a pet mammoth. I was wondering if this was a rumor or if there is some merit behind it?

So my group decided we wanted to go to IoD. So we set off to kill some Dreadnaughts. It is tru this Mob is not high in level but he is very strong. At level 57 he conned Blue so I know hes 55 or 56.

I had group of four all level 57 A Hero, Necromancer, Animator, and Elder. We were able to kill him without a death in the group but it was a very hard battle. He has hard Aoe's and HP debuff. Best to hide behind something and have a place to avoid his spells.

After reaching IoD I must say I was let down. But the fight with Dreanaught was very fun.

The MT died n dreads crit thingy, the 55 cl rooted, after i taunted like hell till i finnaly got aggro over the 47 war (he had encite, i didnt, i must b hated) we killed several with my 30 quest wep procin for 0 and my wep with highest dmg doin 59 and 60 i did about 1k dmg each, used my dmg spells (did 0) cuz it looks cool. they said like 8 time not 2 stand n its way, but pple did. and when they sai rootng 2 reaggro in middle a wizzy kept hittin on purpose (casters a ice type one, then fire and they said rooting right b4 he cased ice) i hailed him on shout n he didnt do it nemore for the rest of the dreads. i died twice cuz the healer who was rooting it when i had aggro, their heal heals 2 much (died b4 they casted heal ____)_: it hurted) now i gotta brag 2 my firned n cuz round my lvl and go die n IOD teehee! was first time killin but now i notta dread-noob. and from what i seen the tanks who was tauntin was noob-taunting (my term for pple who dont know the condom way to taunt) just wanted 2 say how it went (:

Marr's Elite Army lvl 20+ is minimum, lower lvl gotta past test 2 get in.

Me and a Group of 15 killed him today and I must say it's terribly strong, we needed to kill him 15 times and at one point we all died every single last one of us. Everyone was about 50+ Except for like 3 ppl. This is the strongest thing i've faced soo far, it's aoe alone killed me twice.

What kinda casts does the Dread cast on u??? So as a tank i can prepare and buy items to boost that certain stat needed..

To be able to goto IoD you need a necklace that drops off of a Dreadnaught. They only drop 1 at a time. They are level 53+, they are red to a level 50 so that's as close as you can narrow it down.

With the necklace you'll be able to goto IoD. Once there, the necklace will vanish from your inventory. In order to get back to IoD you'll have to pay 10K. Your first trip is on the house.

I suppose if you didn't want to pay 10K to go back to IoD, you could always try getting another necklace from a Dreadnaught and get in again for free. Don't know if that will actually work. But if you're that cheap, it's worth a shot.

The Avitar of Fear does not spawn on IoD. It is a triggered spawn in Cazic-Thule. There is a HUGE quest (ritual) that needs to be followed in order to spawn it.

There are several named mobs in IoD, but the one main mob of mobs is Cazic-Thule aka Lord of Fear, aka The Faceless One. I have heard that he is also a triggered spawn, but that's hear-say at this point.

What lvl do u need to be to go to Isle Of Dread?

What kind of BIG names can I find in IoD? I know 1 that starts wit a K, but isnt the "Ultimate" eqoa beast rumered to be in IoD? Well ne1 that could answer this might also be usefull in putting up info about monsters/NPCs in this area.

My pallys guild has taken one down many times with no prob..we have a good way of kiling it..
